LLOPIS : A HISTORY
The
revolving hearth oven was created by Juan llopis, in 1947.
A baker who was a friend of him was looking for a traditional oven,
that would have been able to bake a good and durable bread.
So he took his inspiration in "Roman" ovens, a type of
oven with a round shape, and designed a revolving hearth
oven, with indirect and contiuous heating ; such an oven is
a tremendous benefit for bakers, by reducing the tedious task of
baking, while keeping all the beauty of the traditional peel-loading
gesture, the real signature of a good baker.
As an unequalled designer and engineer, he spent more than 4 years
of hard work, to achieve what is now his masterpiece, the Llopis
oven, with its perfect working, reliability, that makes a llopis
what it has been until now, more than 60 years later.
Some of its competitors have tried to copy it without success ;
its unique design and several patents protect it, and most of its
competitors have just quit the ring.
Now the name of Llopis is known all around the world, and it's now
a generic name.
More than 1650 ovens have been built in France, more than 12500
in the rest of the world (USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Italy, Germany,
Denmark, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Australia, Benelux,...)
Maison
FMF Services, has established a partnership with the Llopis brand
since the beginning, and was the first to introduce the revolving
hearth in france in 1959.
Yhis very first oven is still active in Toulous area.
Maison FMF Services is the sole
distributor of the llopis brand, worldwide.
